REACH for Tomorrow identified the holistic option, which includes behavioral health nutritional and physical health, was not available in Southern Ohio. We also have seen an increase in depression, anxiety, obesity, eating disorders and addiction in adults and children. It is for this reason that Impact 360 Health has been created, not just for behavioral health needs but, to also address the health of the whole person.
To fill this identified gap of access to Behavioral Health, Nutrition, Weight Management and Physical activity, REACH is launching ‘Impact 360 Health’. This program will be a billable service where assessments and treatment plans will be conducted by Nurse Practitioners and a combination of Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists, Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistants, Nutritionists and Personal Trainers will work with the clients.
REACH Restoration Counseling is a trauma focused organization, who acknowledges that childhood trauma can impact on our life choices well into our adulthood. Trauma does not just impact on our psychological health, but due to acute stress, impacts on our physical body and brain as well. Our clients will be met with this knowledge and trauma focused sensory interventions will be utilized to increase healing and success.
How Does it Work?
Referral or self referral through our website www.REACHforTomorrowOhio.org
Upon completing intake and screenings, clients will be connected to a REACH Nurse Practitioner who will conduct an assessment that addresses behavioral health, substance use, and physical health. To be able to access health insurance, there needs to be a behavioral health diagnosis. If a client is not wanting to bill through their health insurance or does not have insurance, the assessment is $75. A treatment plan, which includes all three components, will be completed with the client.
Clients will then be connected with their Impact 360 Health Specialist who will coordinate the ongoing sessions and needs of their plan. Depending on the treatment plan this could include individual and group sessions. These sessions can be conducted either through telemedicine, in-office or in the clients home. For self pay clients, individual sessions are $50 and group sessions $20.

Why choose Impact 360 Health?
Just as a sports coach can help an athlete develop and excel at a sport, an Impact 360 Health Specialist (360 Specialist)can help anyone excel at living their life, even — or especially — if they experience the need for behavioral habit changes . The process involves two people discussing ideas and issues, utilizing evidence based interventions as well as access to nutritionists and personal trainers. The client is in the driver’s seat, creating their goals as well as exploring the strategies on how to arrive at these goals.
Impact 360 Health can help with a broad variety of health issues, such as weight loss, stress reduction, the management of chronic conditions, improving diet and exercise, tobacco cessation, addiction, and adjusting to a life-altering health event, like prediabetes.
The top focus for any 360 Specialist is you, the client. They’re equipped to answer your specific needs when asked, help you through your personal rough spots, and provide whatever encouragement will help you reach the next step in your wellness journey. Many 360 Specialists offer individual and group sessions, so you can choose a format that best works for you and your budget.
Above all else, your 360 Specialist is your advocate and your ally. Their goal will always be offering you the personal support you need to improve your health. A 360 Specialist will take the time to explain your assessment results to you, and will come up with concrete, actionable steps you can take to implement your plan. If your doctor tells you it’s time to lose weight, your 360 Specialist can support you in creating a diet plan and exercise regime while addressing behavioral habit patterns to help you succeed.
Why is Impact 360 Health great for kids and teens?
As a trauma focused organization we identify the impact of trauma on our brains and bodies as stated
"Children are especially sensitive to repeated stress activation because their brains and bodies are just developing," said Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, pediatrician, in a 2014 TEDMED talk. "High doses of adversity not only affect brain structure and function, they also affect the developing immune system, developing hormonal systems, and even the way our DNA is read and transcribed."
The American Psychology Association states “Mental health — an essential part of children's overall health — has a complex interactive relationship with their physical health and their ability to succeed in school, at work and in society. Both physical and mental health affect how we think, feel and act on the inside and outside.”
We have seen an increase in obesity in children. Children become overweight and obese for a variety of reasons. The most common causes are genetic factors, lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns, or a combination of these factors. There has also been an increase and a shift to even younger children being diagnosed with eating disorders.
Impact 360 Health’s multi-pronged approach will help to address the needs of our children. As stated on WebMD Doctors aren't certain what causes eating disorders. They suspect a combination of biological, behavioral, and social factors. For instance, young people may be influenced by cultural images that favor bodies too underweight to be healthy. Also, many children and teens with eating disorders struggle with one or more of the following problems:

Below is an excerpt of the Rural Health Information Hub article addressing the need for:
Incorporating Wellness Activities into Treatment
Nutrition
Research indicates that nutritional counseling and education can be an important part of recovery for individuals who are receiving treatment for a substance use disorder (SUD). Substance use or misuse can cause nutritional deficiencies and imbalances, affect appetite and mood, and impact the digestive system. Studies have found that providing nutrition education improves outcomes for those receiving SUD treatment, especially when provided in a group setting.
Several nutrition and diet resources may benefit individuals with SUDs. In particular, some individuals in rural SUD treatment programs may be eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which provides financial assistance for access to food. Program planners may also choose to provide information about SNAP Education (SNAP-Ed), a program that provides information to SNAP beneficiaries about healthy food choices.
Weight Management and Physical Activity
As substance use and related health conditions can lead to issues with excess weight, program planners may also be interested in providing information about physical activity and weight management. Studies indicate that physical exercise can also help increase the likelihood of abstaining from substance use and decrease depression symptoms among those in treatment for SUDs.
Integrative medicine coordinates complementary and conventional treatments in an effort to address a health condition using a holistic approach. Complementary approaches to traditional SUD treatments may include mindfulness-based approaches, like meditation, yoga, and tai chi, which are intended to impact both physical and psychological aspects of recovery.
